AS400 / RPG Application Support Engineer

Job Description

Experience: 10 to 15 years

Work Locations: Any one of the following location

• Hampshire, UK
• Swindon, UK

Work from office: 3 days a week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2/L3 application support for AS400 (IBM i) systems.
• Develop, support, and maintain applications using RPG III, RPG IV, and ILE RPG.
• Handle Incident, Problem, and Change Management in line with ITIL processes.
• Perform root cause analysis and ensure timely resolution of production issues.
• Work closely with business users and cross functional teams to ensure system stability.
• Support legacy systems with a focus on availability, performance, and reliability.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands on experience in AS400 / IBM iSeries
• Expertise in RPG III, RPG IV, and ILE RPG
• Proven experience in Application Support / AMS (L2/L3)
• Solid knowledge of ITIL based Incident, Problem, and Change Management
• Good communication and documentation skills
