Design Manager or Senior Design Manager - Stadia – North West / North Wales – Construction\n\nWhat Makes it Great?\n\n-Opportunity to join a leading building main contractor\n\n-Long term local work on North West / North Wales projects\n\n-Iconic multi million stadia project to start on.\n\nCompany:\n\nOpportunity for a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager to join a leading Tier 1 Building main contractor working initially on an exciting local Stadia project and other long term North West regional projects to follow across a range of sectors (both public and private sectors).\n\nPrevious stadia experience is not essential.\n\nRole:\n\nThe role will be responsible for the management of design related issues across multiple sectors on both preconstruction and the Construction Stages of individual projects.\n\nThe function requires experience in the appointment and management of consultants, monitoring the production of detailed design and managing the design appraisal review process for projects in delivery.\n\nMust be experienced in managing the design process, identifying design solutions, design risk and opportunities to support the business in delivering existing pipeline and securing new work.\n\nResponsible for all design activities in conjunction with the development team and transition to the delivery teams.\n\nManage all aspects of the consultants and specialist sub-contractors activities working with commercial teams to negotiate their appointments.\n\nRequirements:\n\nTo be considered for this Design Manager role you must meet the following criteria:\n\n- Knowledge of Building Sector.\n- Previous employment as a Design Co-ordinator, D&B Coordinator, D&B Manager or Design Manager.\n- Previous experience in building sector projects such as Commercial, Leisure, Mixed Use, Residential, Apartment Blocks, Student Accommodation, Hotels, Extra Care Housing, Stadia, MOJ, Industrial, Education or Healthcare.\n\n-Previous stadia projects would be ideal but not essential.\n- Previous Main Contractor employment.\n- High level of communication skills.\n- Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc).\n\nRemuneration:\n\nThe successful Design Manager will receive:\n\n*Competitive Basic (Dependent on experience)\n*Car Allowance\n*Pension\n\nTo be considered for this vacancy or to find out more information please apply now.\n\nServices advertised by Talk Recruitment are that of an employment business and/or agency
